How to use the Hario Cold Brew Kettle

There's more than one recipe for cold brew coffee. On the contrary, there are plenty of unique instructions on how to make a delicious Cold Brew. The secret to proper brewing lies in the optimal grind coarseness and brewing time.

Before you find your original Cold Brew recipe, start with the tried and tested standards for making this great summer drink. Grind the coffee coarsely to medium coarsely (see coffee grinding grades). Cover with cold water at a ratio of 50 g - 100 g of coffee per 1000 ml of water. Leave your Cold Brew in the fridge or even at room temperature for 8 - 36 hours until the log strainer is removed.

Expect the addition of ice to dilute the coffee, so adjust your recipe to a stronger concentration. And how do you know when to take the filter and log out? Well, taste the coffee and if it's sufficiently extracted, you're done.
